The more adventurous visitor can enjoy the beauty of the world renowned ”Great Northern Walk” in the Ku-ring-gai National Park. The walking track passes through Brooklyn and you can walk to Cowan or Woy Woy and then catch a train back to Hawkesbury River Station or from Parsley Bay, walk to Dead Horse Bay, a hidden sandy beach secluded from Brooklyn in the National Park. Or you might choose to cycle the ”Old Pacific Highway” and return to Brooklyn on one of the frequent local train services. Cottage Point, Peats Bite and Berowra Waters all have restaurants and you can catch a water taxi from our marina.
Just 20 minutes away is Glenworth Valley Horse Riding, Australia's largest horse riding complex. Stay with us, enjoy the horses during the day, and relax in the Brooklyn restaurants in the evening.
Historic Dangar Island is easily accessible by boat, ferry (regular service on the hour) or water taxi and offers a licensed bowling club with restaurant on the weekends, beautiful tranquil waterfront coffee shop as well as several scenic walking tracks and and a swimming beach. This is the perfect trip for anyone who wants to really feel the river. The ferry also visits Wobby Beach. See river living in its most pure form.
